ACTION: D.4:
Setting up website
The aim of the action is that every single data and activity of the project should be available for every inquirer in a fast and spectacular way via internet.
Photo: With the help of the internet and our own website we can easily and up-to-date demonstrate the development of our project and popularize Hortobágy, too (Photo: János Oláh).
In 2009: The final version of our website has been fully operable from 30 June. In the section ’News’ we report about the most recent and interesting actions. In section ’Photographs’ nice pictures can be found about the natural values of the project site and the sodic lakes of the Carpathian Basin.

In 2010: The updating of the website is continuous. Every notable event is summarized in the ’News’ section of the Life+ part of the homepage (lifeplus_hirek.php). We also continuously were uploading images to the various galleries so visitors can see the wildlife of the soda pans and the project area.

We also continuously are uploading images to the various galleries so visitors can see the wildlife of the soda pans and the project area. The gallery have over 150 images now. We also annually update the ’Achieved results’ section of the website with details of all the actions of the previous year (usually in January or early February). This where you are reading the project results!
In 2012: The intended target of the action has been 100% achieved as we elaborated and update our website about the Life+ project. There are lots of images related to the project in our galleries and up-to-date news about the big events. In 2013 we updated the ‘achieved results’ section of the website with the 2012 happenings (This where you are reading the project results right now!).
In 2013: The substantial delay in the C actions caused the delay of launching the electronic ‘Sziki Hírlevél’ (HEA’s newsletter about soda lakes started in 2013) which is the main source of networking and to inform other organizations, project managers, researchers of soda lakes, professionals. We have also started a FaceBook page for HEA so this ‘Sziki Hírlevél’ newsletter is also available for the public (https://www.facebook.com/hortobagyte?fref=ts) .
